What is a DNSBL?

DNS blacklists are real-time databases of IP addresses observed sending spam. Most mail servers consult one or more of them on every incoming connection — a listing means your email gets rejected or filtered before anyone reads it. The lists checked here are Spamhaus ZEN, SpamCop, Barracuda, and SORBS.
